Hi everyone, I am a new member and I need some help. To make a long story short, I had a deuce, which I sold; a few years back (BIGGEST MISTAKE of my life). I am now on the haunt to replace my baby, I know that there are a lot of different one’s out there. I would like to get the same model as I had. From research done, I have found out, that it was a M35A2C whistler with winch. The question I have is, which engine is the whistler (Hercules or Continental) and which one is better. Also what is the difference between 1C and 1D.

The manufacturer of the engine is not a big deal. They are all built to the same spec, and no one has "across the board" been able to say XYZ engine's are junk and ABC's are good. Finding a TRUE (from the factory, not added on later) M35A2C with winch is going to be a tough search... Only a handful were made... Mots of M35A2C's out there, but VERY FEW with winches!

The 1D is just a newer version than the 1C. It has nothing to do with the C or D turbo though. About the only way to tell witch turbo you have is by looking at them (and knowing what to look for) or hearing them run.
Emmado is right about a m35a2c w/w. Kind of rare. I've got a m35a2c wo/w myself and it will be w/w as soon as I get a chance to put it on.

Thanks for the info guys, I have been able to find a few M35a2c but none with a winch. I am thinking about buying one of those trucks and adding on the winch myself. What is a fare price to pay for a M35a2c wo/w.
