M35 rear axle, how much does it weight?

Hello all.
Just wondering if anyone out there knows what a M35 complete rear axle with brake drums minus wheels would weigh?

I am thinking about taking a trip and hauling back an axle if I can get away with my small 4x8 tilt trailer.

My tow vehicle currently is an S10 blazer, so the M101 is a little much to haul 200+ miles one way.

Thanks.

It can't be 660 lbs. I was able to completely lift a rear axle off of the ground with our small Kubota tractor. The maximum lifting capacity of that tractor's front end loader is 500 lbs. I'd say the complete rear axle minus the wheels is just shy of 500 lbs. The front is definitely over 500 lbs...

Trust me, they are 660 lbs, 500 after you remove the drums and backing plates. Drums are 40 lbs and so are the backing plates with the shoes.
