Love that custom Hard Top. Looks like someone was handy with some sheet metal and custom fabricated a new one. It's a fixer-upper to those that are worthy...

Unless I missed something, I did not see a "M35 Tractor" anywhere. I am assuming you are talking about a M275 or M48. However the "tractor" is off the M749 series and I am not sure if it's origional. Has some nice parts though, where is the yard?:-D

Those are the GMC M135/M211. Where abouts are they?? Close too me???
I was going to say, that looks like an old deuce. Climbed around on an old fire truck deuce. I think it was 1955. It had that high/low, two speed allison automatic in there too. Cool lookin' trucks, just wish they had a manual trans.

Strangely - today also is posted a thread where a fellow has saved an equally or more rare M215 dump, which he intends to convert to a tractor.

Sounds like a great potential for a trade to me - (since so many folks seem to want 2 1/2 ton dumps) - that would save a LOT of sweat.

Neat find!

Since we have a captured audience with this thread, take a look at the quarter fenders on the rear of this M221? Should be the same ones on the M215, M342, M59 and M275/M275A2. I need a pair of these fenders. If you know of any of these anywhere that are straight, I'd like to know!

Talked To Him

Had a close up look at the Deuce Tractor, "he says" it has a good motor and transmission in it and it was running great six years ago when he backed it in where it is! It has single on the back, vertical pipe is toast and the pintal is missing. He has it sold in the spring to one of the local corn farmers for hauling trailers out of the field, that's where his other one ended up. Two grand for anyone who is interested, as is, let me know I can store it for a couple of months if needed.

I thought that all the GMC tractors were short wheel base , don't have a spare tire mount under the truck and were equipped with a shorter fuel tank?
Just a observation but I don't think it is original.

I Will check

Tim:
Next time I am through I will check on the other truck, he is pretty proud of his stuff, I am still dickering with him on the 211, I am not holding out much hope on a price break, he has had them for a while and is not too inclined to sell.
