Like Jason in post 16, I played with the old rubber and the metal collar to make this new style pump fit in the place of the old pump. Ended up putting a larger connector on the existing ground wire and put it on the post that the cut off ground wire is on. Sealed the top and dropped it in the tank. It is working like a champ. From the numbers on the pump I got, it appears to be 2006 manufacture. It was not an exact plug and drop, but it is pretty easily doable.
I also used the existing Douglas connection connector on the housing and peened over the ears to make connection on the new pump. Bottom line is it went in and the truck starts like a champ. This is on the M54A2C with the multi fuel. Sorry no pics.
