Thanks guys for all the help on the antenna mount question that I had. I was originaly just going to run a dummy antenna but in reading your posts have decided it would be cool to get a working radio set.
I have the as 3900/a antenna and base what radio set and base would work for this antenna and be a correct under passenger seat mount if possible in the m35 and what would I expect to pay for it? also where would I find one?
Thanks Jerry

AS3900 is for SINCGARS. You can buy the non-icom ones but they are VERY expensive.

For 12 series (RT524[VRC46]) types you can get those for several hundred depending a lot on wether they work on not and have been tested. Your antenna won't work with them thought. You will need a MX6707 with a different thickness of antenna than what you got for you AS3900. Other option is to go with a Shakespear antenna, AS3915 if I remember the numbers correctly, and that works with either one. A good shakespear can set you back around $100 give or take.
