Sweet rig! Painting mine white right now too. That is a good link. They have some good stuff.
unclemikey, what scoop did you use? It looks a little different than the Donaldson. I am still searching for a distributor that can sell me the Donaldson scoop.Had done the same thing, I like it!
I don't get it...i would do this:
That is NEAT!!! Is there a thread on it with detailed pics???Had done the same thing, I like it!
Maybe make it turn like a snow thrower chute, that way you can see backing up and have it turned around so reverse performance would not be lost.Has anyone considered adding one of those backup cams, into the snorkel? Would be cool for fording. It would be like a periscope. Just an idea...
i thought it would be funny to add level marks on the tube....I don't get it...
I have not checked the mileage. My truck has an LDS 465 and the additional air is helpful. Snorkel and and new air filter makes me SMILE !!!Has anyone realized any fuel mileage gains with the added air volume?.......
The exhaust pipe is mig welded.OK it's official, I got the part. It came quickly and Matt at Filter Maxx was great to deal with.
Dr. Prokchop, how did you connect the exhaust pipe together? It looks seamless..
The snorkel clamps on just like the original mushroom, it makes changing the air filter take an extra 5 minutes. Is the snorkel welded to the air box too, or how do you make it removable so you can remove the side panel for better access to the engine and air filter element?
