M35A2C Gushing oil

Hey guys, new member here. IDK if this issue has arisen on here before, I did a quick search and could not find anything.

I just recently traded for a75 amgc m35a2c and the first thing i did was an oil change. The napa oil filters part#1133 worked well, but the two gaskets that came with it instantly caused a leak from the bottom of the oil filter housing within seconds. So i ordered a new set of oil filter gaskets part #5039 from napa and installed them. I had zero leaks after i started it, and drove it to 2 places in one day(aprox 30 miles round trip) the next day I drive it to my uncles house (10 miles away) and its still perfect, no leaks. from there i went to lunch (7 mils away) and found a healthy sized puddle on the floor upon leaving. I drove it immediately home (about 5 miles) and found it gushing out the bottom heavily. '

im not sure what to do from here? any ideas? please help meh

Check the torque on the hold down bolts. The gaskets may have taken a set and caused the leak. I think the torque is around 65 ft lbs. you may want to plan on converting to spin on oil filters will be easier to change and faster oil pressure build.

where can I get them and is there instructions on install?

Just a small hint for you, Tighten to the correct torque, and do NOT allow the filter can to twist whilst tightening.

Last weekend I changed the oil on mine using wix filters I got from Amazon (same as the NAPA ones I believe). Each filter came with two gaskets, a thick one and a thin one.
When I removed the filters, there was no thick one (just the thin one). So I checked the TM, and it appears there only should be a thin one. That's all I replaced/installed. Torqued to 65 pounds, no oil leaks. Hopefully what I did was correct.

Anyway, if one were to install both of those gaskets it seems like it might cause a leak.

The Wix/NAPA filters aren't "made" for the Deuce , they work. They come with gaskets for common uses. The thin one works for the Deuce the thick one works for some thing else. So you did right.

Focus on the basics:
when changing the filters, the sealing surfaces must be very clean.
mark a line between the canister and the oil filter housing so the canister goes back at the same spot.
the Napa filters come with two different seals, don't use the wrong one.
make sure the oil canister sealing surfaces don't have any nicks or burrs.
when installing the seals, they must be in the proper groove.
make sure the filter elements don't get catty whumpas when installing.
torque to 65 ft/lbs.

All should be good!

Where was the leak at? If it was at 5he filters, your on the right track. If not, it could have been the transmission.
