M35A3 E Brake Rattle

drove my M35A3 for the first time the other day and noticed a rattle from behind the cab. checked it out and the emergency brake seems to bang against the drum when driving making a terrible sounding rattle. the spring may be a little weak. anyone have experience with this? the truck looks like new inside and out. low miles and hours.drives great.

If the A3 uses the same parking brake as the A2, you could check the diagrams in the TM and see if anything is missing. I was missing a couple washers and a spring on mine and didn't even know it.

Mine is doing the same thing right now , but I haven't gotten a chance to pull it all apart.

It is likely that one of the three springs is missing or has come loose. It only takes a few minutes to check it out. Everything is easy to get to to see

I had the same problem and was advised by the helpful people on here to adjust as per manual and look for any springs missing which I did and was a spring missing from the top shoe and after adjusting it is now fine even though I am still a spring short and awaiting delivery.
