I have run an A2 for over a year with no fan. It helps a lot on the freeway. I don't drive in traffic very often. The airflow at 20mph and up is enough to keep it at normal operating temps. I would not try it in the desert in the summer but the weather we are having now it would be fine to drive it on a road trip with no fan. No fan would be preferable to using a fan without a fan clutch.
