I have a couple of M36E1 periscopes from the M60 that my brother gave me a long time ago. Are they useful for anything other than taking up shelf space? I guess if i bought the upper half i could mount them on something.

If i ever decided to sell them, are they worth anything? I have no idea if they actually work. They probably dont. But they look neat anyway.

I'm guessing you just have the lower half and may look something like this M36E1 periscopes.jpg the right side is the IR scope and should have a black cover on it to protect it from sun light which can cause tube burn out, left side if I remember is 10X daylight. I have seen them from $25 to $100 for working clear ones, twice that or more with the top mount. You can always lay them on their backs 90 degrees and look down through the eyepiece.

Thank you. I have the entire unit; both what you showed and the top piece. I saw one on EBay for $1,999, I’m watching to see if it sells lol
