m37 coil testing

i suspect a bad coil .got a primary reading of 11.9 and a HT of 9,500 .does that sound like it is in tolerance .should'nt the primary be lower than that like arounf 1.2.I tested the primary on the 200 range on the meter.and the HT seams low also.any thoughts ?

After market coils are notorious for failure if you are using the OEM distributor. If you can find a good used coil you are better off. Also a good idea to carry a spare. I keep a 50 cal ammo box on board with spare parts as well as a basic tool bag.
