Hi gang,

my m37 will not start after it has run for a while. Once it is warmed up, if you stop, it will not re-start.

I tried cranking without touching the gas pedal, sometimes it restarts after about 10 seconds.

seems like its flooded, but normal recovery from flooding (floored and crank away) does not work.

any ideas?

hmmm... Fresh fuel filter? Any collapsed or old rubber fuel lines? Mechanical or electric pump? Fuel lines routed near any heat sources?

I think you are on to something with the points gap. 20 thousanths?

I know its not fuel line. I replaced the coil last fall.

People are not saying bowl level, which Is what I'd like to rule out

Ok. BOWL LEVEL. Low bowl level will let it boil out.
Vapor lock or a hot starter . My 79 TransAm would do that till I shielded the carb and starter from the heat.
OOOOps!, reread your post. NOT a hot starter if it cranks.
Cranking for 10 sec., it's having to refill the carb.
PS. I don't know jack about M37s, hot rods I do know!
I want a M37 sooooo bad! Guess the truck is "broken". I'll take it off your hands. LOL.!!
