Thank you Mr. Hovering HMMWV, I found the information I was looking for. My vehicles are in storage for the winter and not easily accessible but I managed.

Seen too many ball hitches fail.

Never seen a lunette/pintle do that.

My non-military trailers have all been converted to lunettes.

It also really cuts down on guys wanting to borrow them...:sneaky:

I certainly agree
Most people don’t do their homework, 2 5/16“ ball hitches come in 3 different lbs ratings (the shank determines capacity)
2 5/16 ball with 1” shank 6,000 lbs most common because there cheap!
2 5/16 ball with 1 1/4“ shank 10,000 lbs
2 5/16 ball with. 1 1/2“ shank 30,000 lbs

know your “Limits“. (lol)
