M38A1 canvas and 72 CJ Windshield

Has any one Here installed a 72 CJ-5 Indshield frame and used the factory canvas top ? My main concern is the channel for the canvas has less of a bow ( arc ) to it than the M38a1's .

Reason for doing this My 2 M38a1 frames are trash. I have a perfect CJ-5 frame with new glass and wiper motor.

I the bow in the channel is less on the CJ frame your top will probably not fit as snug as it would with the correct channel. In my opinoin it should work but I have never tride it.

I talked with Beechwood canvas They said it would work Hope this help someone out in the future.

you might consider drill- out your 38A1 w/s channel and swapping it onto the Cj5 W/s .
