Guessing the controls left-to-right across the mounting platform:
- Clutch/ left track/ right track/ accelerator?
And curious to know the function of the "paddle" (below) behind the track levers. If you don't mind, a clarification of all that would be terrific, please?

Ejection Seat?
I bought them locally from Canton Bandag in Canton Ohio 330-454-3025. I could not find any NOS ones. The tires are a forklift tire size, but it is a discontinued size. Supposedly when I bought the ones for mine there was only 16 of them left in the country. The company however can re-rubber the old tires. He has done HVSS road wheels and stated he could do the ones for the VVSS as well.Where did you source the brand new tires for your road wheels? I am looking for a bunch for my two VVSS Sherman projects.

Can't wait to see them up and running.I will have a look through my GAA stuff and see what I can find for you, thanks for the tip on the tires! Of course the CBP won't let us bring any armor in for the Arlington Air show, I have the two Sherman restoration projects sitting north of Bellingham but neither will be making any moves under their own power this year, that's for sure!
I agree your tank needs a lot of work, **** mine needs a lot of work. I'm kinda stuck right now since I have not been able to find engine parts for mine. You may want to check out this link of a guy in Texas who restored his with a Detroit diesel. http://www.shermanrestoration.com/ His work is my inspiration and I hope mine is as nice, but with original engine in place. The hardest work on restoring a tank is finding the parts.WOW... amazing! I wish we had the time to work on ours but we have been busy acquiring new armor and other tracked vehicles around the property. I would love to do a restoration like yours but I think we are going to have to go with a "restomod" type of restoration. I plan on using this tank daily on our property and want to install an engine/transmission combo that is relatively new and with off-the-shelf parts for easy repair.

That is nice detail work! This is going to be museum piece when it's done.After a long break I was able to get some work done on the tank. I installed the final drive, cleaned up the tracks, and installed the tracks.
