M54 A2 power steering pump

Hi guys,
I tried fitting a new power steering pump today on my M54 A2 but it dosent fit, either the pump is wrong or i need a engine to pump adaptor ????

The engine on my truck is a LDS 465 1A. can someone confirm the pump part number

The pump I have been suplied with is a later alloy pump but would work on the truck if it fitted the engine to pump adaptor. truck is 68 dated and pump is 83 dated

Below are pictures of the two pumps, the green pump is the one i took off the truck and the silver one is the replacement that dosent fit ???

I'd guess that the new pump is for the new style ps for the 809 series. the 809s use a belt drive pump, the a2s use a gear drive.
what are the p/n for both pumps

the ordnance # for the correct pump is 7369967, according to tm-xxxx-211-35
the P/N for pump for the 809s is 12356786, according to tm-xxxx-260-34p,
looking at the pics, the NEW one looks like the one shown in the 34p

Green pump has Vickers 276R

Silver pump has 524001001

I doubt that you could easily adapt that new (silver color) pump to work on the MF... what's wrong with the green one?

Pump is shot, its like steering a M35
