The M548s were capable of swimming. However, they ditched that with the A1s. To be 100% correct, the A1s will swim, but they removed one of the two bilge pumps so swimming is a losing proposition if you are taking on more water than you can pump out. However, the manuals and a data plate on the door indicate that the A1s were not supposed to be used in this manner.

Thanks for the kind words guys! It's still for sale too. Bruce is correct in regards to the swimming. This is not an A1 model, and has two bilge pumps along with the track shrouds to help propulsion. Regards, Jim Wenig
