M66 installed on M35 pics.

Any ideas for putting a port hole in the soft top?

I saw someone had one custom made with a weatherproof zipper, I thought that was really cool because you don't need to roll back the entire soft top.

I like mine, even have the reinforcement plate in. It was not fun or easy.

Well I found the time to put the ring and cab plate on.
It was not as hard as I was expecting, it took about
20 minutes for the ring. .

Looks good! What are you doing about the top on the back of the cab where the posts are? My top is all wrinkled up since there is no clearance between the posts and the top cap on the cab. My ring was a lot harder to put on due to holes not lining up exactly on the ring, post arms and the plate. It took several hours of hard work and foul language.

A zipper top would be great, The hard tops can be modified to have a movable cover.

Well GLCAINES I have not figured out the soft top yet either,
I just put it on the best I could. It took you several hours hard work and foul
language to install yours? Well I cant explain why mine was so easy, I guess it is because
on the farm I do a lot of things similar to that.

I will get those pics of the front leg posted tomorrow, if time lets me.

Oh yeah I do not use foul language around my Deuce may be that is what helps.

Here is the pics of the front leg, I think I could drill another hole for a third bolt, but two should hold.
I had to weld a stop on the front leg to get it the same hite as the others, see in photo.

Is this an OEM made piece?

Are there any other things that mount in that hole.

OEM? I am still green. Every body seems to of had that front bracket
but me. I had to buy mine.

I have read about and seen lots of pics of the 66 ring I honestly have never seen any good pics of the cab reinforcement material, good grief that stuff looks very heavy I bet that cab is like a rock with that stuff in place! Impressive setup to say the least!

It would be informative if someone would show a step-by-step install of the reinforcement plates. Mostly all you hear or see is "lots of drilling." The OPs demonstration of the "fork trick" was good information.

Ammo can tray straps. These look like they fit the above tray since when undone the holes in the tray will prevent the straps from falling away and being easily lost.
