Alright, to everybody that's just curious. I couldn't get the transfer case out of neutral, i tried everything in and out of the book and i couldn't figure it out for the life of me. My jeep buddy Tod walker aka Jeep god, Says " did you take out the selector ball?" I'm like WTH is that? So the ball was rusted in place and prevented the shifter from sliding. So for future reference simple is stupid but easy to miss.

Thanks for posting up the fix. sometimes people get the problem resolved and we never hear what happened.

Not on the linkage; it's on the TC shift shaft itself.
