M809 Sprag question

I just wanted to confirm something, on my M813 sprag, before I go tearing into in. I ran my truck until the air tanks were full and shut it down. I hear the air cylinder engaging the sprag, when I shift into reverse. I also hear the air cylinder as I shift from reverse to neutral. What I don't hear is the air cylinder "clunking" when I shift from neutral into any of the forward gears. I just want to confirm that I should hear the air cylinder engaging in forward gears, not just disengaging as I shift into neutral. Thanks. I'm guessing a poppet rebuild/replacement is in my near future, if lubricating it fails.... Thanks.

Call me, 703-389-6705, nothing is wrong, the sprag shifts into reverse when going into reverse, comes out of reverse into forward as SOON as you shift out of reverse.
