Looking at getting one of these 5 tons and had a question as to the amount of room in the cab. If you were to compare it to a M35, would you say that there is more room for the driver in a M813 or is it the same as the M35?

Leg room, head room, cab width and seat size are the same. The cab is actually interchangeable between the M44 2.5 series trucks and the M809 5 ton series trucks. You might feel a little more room between driver and steering wheel, I think the deuce steering wheel has a larger diameter than the M809 5 ton steering wheels.

That's what I needed to know. Found one locally for sale and would rather buy it than one of the newer ones. Personally the older ones have better lines and curves, where as the newer ones look like a refrigerator box.

Same size, smaller steering wheel and yes, the lines are more appealing to me.

:)
