M817's Hard at Work

At work we have 3 5-tons for fire-road construction. I believe them to all be M817s, but one of them looks different....anyhow


Here they are per request, hard at work re-building a washed out mountain road! Also Note that the dresser front-end loader is an EX-Air Force machine!

The truck on the right in pic 4 is not an M817, it is either an M51A1 or M51A2. In short, earlier model than the M817.

the 817's have cummins motors and the 51's have the multifuel.

The M51 also came with the R6602 Continental Gas engine - I have a '62 M51 dump
I just greased it - wow, that takes a while.. I lost count of the grease fittings...
