ok, here's the question. i have a 57 international 5 ton tracter, gasser with a bad cab. i have located a scrapped out 819, complete frame and crane assembly, no driveline nor sheet metal. i'm not really worried about the time involved, nor the work, but is this idea even worth considering? i will have to buy a cab and doors no matter what, and i would be scrapping the gasser in either circumstance.
I am still ( hope it's still there) getting a wrecker from a northern state in the next 2 months, if my shipper comes through, but have no real use for a tracter.
Any ideas, or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
