OK Gang, does anybody know exactly what year vehicles power steering bolts onto the M880? Not so much worried about the pump but need to know what years PS box bolts on!
Thanks!

Well, for a straight bolt on, from `77 back to the early 70's (`73 or `74 I think) ought to work just fine. in `78 or `79 the set up was changed and the box was mounted differently with the pitman arm swinging through a horizontal plane instead of a vertical plane like in `77 and before.(You can still use this later set up, but you'll have to replace more parts.) When I did my swap, I pulled my gear box off a `77 1/2 ton and the pump from a `75 half ton. I also bought a new high pressure side hose. All total, I was into it between $120.00 to $150.00. The set up has given me trouble free service for about five years.

P.S. It would be a good idea to degrease, derust, and repaint the whole setup before bolting it all back onto your truck

This is a picture of mine about a year or two after I installed it:

P.P.S. Don't forget to use top locks or nylock nuts and grade 8 bolts with washers when you go to bolt the gear box bracket to the frame. This is very important!

In the next few weeks,or as soon as I have the time, I'm going to be doing a swap from a 90 model Dodge 1 ton. I will take pics and tell you how it goes. I hope it goes smoothly.
