M915 / M916 A/C Question

Does anyone know exactly what tractors have A/C in them?
I could swear I saw an M915 w/ A/C but I look at the TM and find
nothing.


In a nutshell I have an M916 and I want to put A/C in it and
I seek the proper Red Dot kit part number.

Was it not an M915 but an M915A1 I was looking at or something?

Very late rebuild (2008 and up) M915A1s got the A/C installs.

I got a little more info today and Thank U NDT.

If anyone has more info please chime in, I sure do wish there was a forum
for the M915's M916's and M920's instead of being grouped
w/ the lil' 5 tonners .... (See my sig, my M916 has not been added yet!)

But all kidding aside it is needed. Maybe add in the HETS too .

My partner in crime has a few a/c unit complete sets still in the crates from the military. We mainly specialize in the 5 tons but I do believe that it will fit in your 916 if your interested.

Well, I am trying to find out what fits and what does not fit so as not to
reinvent the wheel. I can't make any decisions till I see some hard facts.
I do know there is a unit where the evap unit bolts to the floor in the front
and THAT would be a bad deal. If (and when) and need ot access wires
under the dash you FIRST would have to remove the whole A/C unit!


I thought I saw some M915's with just hoses sticking in the cab...I need to find
out about that but if your partner has pictures of the units you have for sale
installed PLEASE post them up! You never know...
