Approx 350 miles at $3.50 a mile @ Approx 30,000lbs.
I have to remove the exhaust stack for transport though due to height. This would also allow for it to fit on a stepdeck as well

Otherwise you would have to go with a lowboy/RGN without removing the stack.

Is it on base there?

I am looking at after the 20th at the earliest before i could pick it up. If its time sensative maybe R Racing could get it to his place.

Specs below for future reference.

Not sure if it's on base or in a govplanet location off base. Contacting them tomorrow morning to see about that as well as seeing how stickler they are going to be about the 8 day max to get it out of there.

I'll report back ASAP.

Thanks!

The last time I went to this facility it was not an "attended location." The rep was there like once a week. Check with GP on length of storage allowed. And with the government's paranoia about terrorists triple proof of identity and accompanied by your great grandparents seemed to apply.

This M920 is in the scrap yard in Aberdeen Test Center, which is on Aberdeen Testing Grounds. The hoops to jump thru are follows. Make sure your point of contact has your name at least a day before. Take Rt. 40 to 715 to access APG. You will have to go to the visitor center to get a pass. That one is good for six months. The visitor center is on the right just before the gate. When you get thru the gate you will be on Maryland Boulevard. You will go thru a couple of lights then make a right on Aberdeen Boulevard. When the road seems to fork stay to the right and proceed to the area where trucks are to park, it is marked. You will then go into the security office to meet you escort and get another badge. That is only good for the day. From this point your escort will take you the rest of the way, which includes more gates and getting another badge. Due to security procedures on the facility that is all that needs to be public.

I will be up in thar area the 17th or 18th dropping off an LMTV. If you could get it to John's place or get with member RRacing he could maybe towbar it to his place as he has a 917 i believe still i could get it down to you before the 19th. Dealing with the GP yard times can be a pain when i am picking up at one on a Friday in another state.

I can help you on the shipping costs as well if you get it moved off cause it saves me hours as well at times.

I finally got in touch with Paul there at Aberdeen. He said he was going to be there tomorrow and not again until 4/21. I had someone else contact me that was familiar with APG and Paul that said they could get it headed my way tomorrow so I wouldn't have to wait too long so I've gone that direction (even though it was a couple hundred more than what you'd estimated). I appreciate the thoughts and offers around trying to get it off base for me!

Looking forward to figuring out that Cat 7155! Crossing finger it all works!

Haven't been yet, definitely want to one day.

If I can find a trailer I can afford maybe I can bring a few different toys, lol.

Grendel has his M322 for sale. 30ft overall 19'6 deck plus 5ft dovetail. Rated for 30 tons. He has a decent price on it. Would pull nice behind the 920.

I just googled M322 trailer and saw this youtube of you working that M923 like a dog on Black Mountain NC, lol.

That's a great stretch of road to test a truck with, that's for sure.
