I want to put a SVO(straight vegetable oil) conversion kit on my truck. In order to do so I must have an electric fuel pump, so that the primary fuel pump can be shut of when the SVO fuel pump/system is turned on. I have looked but found no thread on this. I would appreciate any input from the steel soldier pros. Thanks in advance for any advice. I used to make and run biodiesel but have had to temporarily shut my operation down. I still collect WVO(waste vegetable oil)and want to burn it instead of selling it.

I could be wrong about this, but I seem to remember reading on here that it is not recommended to use anything other than diesel in the 8.3 engines. I believe even biodiesel use is not recommended, as these trucks were built before 1995 (well.. Most of them. I saw one for sale recently that was built in 2000.) Hopefully someone that has more experience with the 8.3 engines will chime in..

I produce ASTM biodiesel. It will run in ANY diesel motor. I have not put a drop of anything but b100 in the truck in over a year. Runs better than petrol.
