M924A2 What is this?

Oil tank for the Hyd pump. A lot of the winch trucks were rebuilt to wo/winch and for whatever reason left the tank mounted. Since it says 924 I'm guessing you don't have a winch.

Next weird thing a 924 should not be a drop side, but from the picture it looks like it is??

They "supposedly" made some of the non-dropside non-winch trucks (M924) and winch trucks (M926), but I have never seen one. I have, however, seen the data plates as a good friend has a supply of every VIN data plate in the series.

I would have thought the tank would be mentioned in the operators manual (-10).

We all know that you don't need the TM's. Just jump on SS and ask what now. My self I like to see if I can figure it out. That is why I have the TMs. but I also know if I hang here someone will ask what now.
