Don't use that hose for the oil drain, Two reasons, oil will "bleed" out of it and the oil combined with the temp and acids in the fluid will turn it to mush. You should get the correct drain tube. There is a solid type and a corrugated one as pictured.

Already doing. Corrugated hard stainless tube, silicone tube will be cut down so just short transition piece, same as
stock.

Turbo coolant lines both done. Top outlet has air bleed up to reservoir. Turbo oil supply line done. Awaiting turbo drain tube to arrive.

Coalescing filter oil drains done (atop valve cover). It is a breather that separates any oil mist from vapor, and routes the oil back to the crankcase. Valve cover is dirty, still as-received.

Turbo drain tube arrived and test fit OK. All 5 turbo lines are now done. 2 oil, 2 coolant, and air VGT actuation. Next up is to redo the rear main and oil pan gasket, swap out the engine mounted fuel lift pump for the 24 volt unit, same with the intake air grid heater, mount the 3 micron secondary fuel filter to the engine, and install the Jake actuators. Then hang the trans on it, do a test fire, and call it done.

No, those are disposable items. Hope turbo lives longer.

Probably going to lose the red, it just looks like Christmas up against the green.

Engine will be full 24 volt now. This includes ECM, engine mounted inline fuel lift pump, intake air grid heater and relay, starter, alternator, and Jake solenoids.

Rear crank seal is finally redone. Mounted factory 3 micron filter back on engine with stock bracket. Few small things to button up and we can do a test fire and hang the trans. Fuel pump, grid heater, Jakes, that should about do it.

On my lunch break today I swapped the intake air grid heater to a 24v unit, installed the heater core supply fitting on back of block with new O ring, and installed the flywheel and clutch assembly (those pics in trans thread). Also did a test fit of the Pac Brake exhaust brake that came on the RV. Needs clean up. If I can fit it, I'll install it, then the engine will have 2 types of braking capability, Jake compression and exhaust brake (can't use both at the same time).

Spent some time on the engine today. Got the 24v fuel transfer pump installed (replaced the 12v one). Also added the Jake brake system, and adjusted all of the overhead valve lash. Need to have 2 small fuel lines made up for the now engine mounted secondary fuel filter. This runs at 70psi and filters to 3 micron. Fuel flow runs through the ECM mounting plate, to help keep the ECM cool.

Replaced 12v Jake solenoids with 24v ones. Rocker box and valve cover final install are done. Jake actuator clearance set on all 6 exhaust. Besides a 5/8" heater core return fitting down by the water inlet, engine is about done. Will test run once ECM returns. Oil seperator hose routing done. Will hang trans on the back and see what happens.

Fuel lines getting made today. ECM to arrive maybe this week. Then we'll test fire the new electronic throttle pedal, and all systems go.

Update: Fuel lines to engine mounted secondary fuel filter are done. These are 4mm high temp hose with 14mm banjo fittings on low pressure pump, filter head, and high pressure pump inlet @ 70psi.

Awaiting ECM to arrive, will mate trans to engine while waiting.

Yeah, we're going to stick some more amps in it.

Not really upgrade, but to confirm it had a 400hp/1200ft-lb calibration in it (which it did), but then to also change some configuration settings. It is switchable between 12/24 volts, so flipped it to 24v (and the rest of the engine electrical components that were 12v), turned on the Jake brake option, changed expected trans type from auto to manual, set PTO speed to 1400rpm, set max cruise control speed to 900mph, stuff like that.

You using the stock air filter? I have some killer MRAP air filters with the housing if you decide you need to upgrade.
