I'm not one to type a lot so if you have any questions just ask and I'll try to answer. This is my install of the MRAP rad into my 931A2. I'm not sure the model of MRAP the unit came from but it's a big b*tch. 6" thick aluminum and is wider and taller than the original rad. It's so big I had to do a 2.25" body lift on the cab to clear the hood but it was well worth it and unless you know aht you're looking for you'll never notice the cab has been lifted.
Ddmk18 helping with teardown and grunting the new unit in.

I am thinking of doing this upgrade on my m931 with a turbo-ed 250. I would like to see your brackets and things and hear of performance changes.

if I can figure out how to post pics from my phone this will be a lot easier. Performance gains were big. and the egt's dropped quite a bit from previous especially once the truck was up and moving my acceleration egt's climb much slower now. I still have a few mods to do on the air inlet system of the truck and the exhaust also. the engine responds to throttle pedal a lot faster than before. I can pretty much spin the rear tires in the dirt on a take off if I spool the turbo first it'll spin 50' ruts in my yard on a launch

Following closely. Im hunting for a m900 series to bob and Crew cab. one of the things thats been a big reason for this specific series of trucks is the cummins and allison trans. ( turbo is a big plus) ideally Id like to get highway speeds and relatively decent MPG. thus far my plan is to cut and bob, build out the cab, install seats, oshkosh matv hood ( if it can fit, I think id have to lift it about 8 inches based on schematics I have thus far)oshkosh m-atv grill/ radiator. then start looking at engine upgrades. Ive spoken with a few about the project and plans and one suggested getting an Matv cab and transferring it to the 931 frame.

ideally a sort of Clone of the Matv I had in Afghanistan.

I just saw this question and I will measure tomorrow but I believe that it is the same, are you going to make a fan shroud?

I'm not sure yet. I did this swap earlier in the summer and ran it in the hot humid days for extended runs and pulling some heavy loads up the mountains and the fan only ever kicked on 1 time and that was on a steep pull in the 95 degree heat and about 100% humidity. truck stays around 195 most of the time when I'm thumping it. The rad I used is quite a bit bigger than stock and held about 3 more gallons of antifreeze if I remember correctly. I don't baby thing either it's usually hammer down no matter what. the truck will run over 80mph if you want. but is comfortable at 65 and 70. I took a sharpie and rerated the sidewall of the tire to 75mph so it's ok now. lmao

Good deal, I did go measure mine and yes it has the 4" inlet and outlet on the intercooler just like your's.

Looking at doing something like this with mine. Im looking at all of the options. What is a cab lift? And do you think the MRAP rad is a better option than finding an intercooler and adding it?
