Yes I did; I used regular truck batteries. The cables are long enough I knocked out the knock outs for cables and i moved the slave cable connection to the tool box as well.

I ran only 2 batteries. plenty of power to crank unless it get real cold but i will be putting a block heater in it soon so that will fix the cold problem. My truck is a M931. I do have some pics but they are not here i will post pics tomorrow.

What's the advantage of doing this? I would think the batteries would be more exposed to water when fording. Is it to keep harmful fumes out of the cab? Or, just easier access?

If you have ever had to recharge batteries in the cab or remove/install them you know it is a real PITA due to the weight of the original TL's. I plan to relocate the ones in my M927A2 and M923A3. This also allows you to remove the bench seat and install a twin air rides and a center console if you so desire. Having the batteries in the cab also creates corrosion issues and the off gassing of the batteries sometimes causes the fabric of the seats to deteriorate.

I remember removing the batteries...yep got it now. It is a PITA. I recently cleaned up my battery box. Good point but I do want to run 4 batteries since I have a few electronics hooked up. I'm putting an isolator between the 2 pair and a solargizer that keeps them charged.

I did a battery relocation on a M925A2 about a year ago.
I really like the looks of that set up and it would be great for the 2 battery set up with a little storage for a tool bag or other goodies. I think I would have a problem getting into the passenger side though (getting old). The way I did mine did not cost but about 40. bucks max, that kit cost a bundle last time I looked at one. Sure does look good though.

How is the entry to the passenger side, not that I use it much but concerned the steps look small!

I agree the kit looks great and it would be nice to get the batteries out of the cab, but $1600 for that kit is a bit much
You can get a whole truck for twice that amount, doesn't make sense to me. I bid on a 931 with the kit, just for the kit but it got too high for what I was going to use it for. The kit looked brand new, it was a gray primer color and the truck was camo.

M35a2-AZ Where did you find the kit? I've only seen one and they wanted $1600 for it. I would like to get one but not for that price.
I got the kit when they were only $350. I did find a kit in CA from a guy, but it was only the box and mounts, He is out of them now.

Yes it does make it hard to get in on the right side. You have to start with your right leg, LOL. I think it was built for the 19 year old.
