M939 Series Battery Cover/Seat Removal

I put my cut off switch further back on the same side wall. You can't see it even when looking for it. I actually have to feel for it to get the key in. I also put a hasp and padlock on the other side so no one can get to the batteries or switch. Actually by using the nut rivets you make it easier for someone to break into the battery box by unscrewing the hinge. The original setup make it impossible to unscrew the hinge to get access to the battery box. Yes I have a lot of padlocks on my truck. Better safe than sorry!

M35A2-AZ you sir are correct, no low range in reverse, there is even a warning placard mounted on the dash of the M939 series of trucks, stating do not use reverse while the transfer case is in low range.
