Is there any literature out there for the on road axle specs and ratings for the M939A1 trucks from Rockwell or Meritor ?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Trying to get the truck certified for its proper on road GVWR right now if I go over the scales the plate says I can only carry 5 tonsCurious why your asking. The rating is 10 tons on road. Thats roughly 12500 lbs per axle. I would be curious what Rockwell rates them at.
Without some papers from meritor that’s only here sayTandem rating 44,000
I have been trying for three weeks to get a call back from the person that has the info , but no luck so far.Without some papers from meritor that’s only here say
On my year of truck they only state the off road ratingThe axle ratings and the truck GVWR are two different things. The truck is rated to carry 10 tons. See the data plate on the dash.
