M998 doghouse cover seal installation

Seemed pretty straight-forward, maybe 55 degrees F ambient temp contributed, but without tearing the thing, or tearing my hair out, or two extra sets of hands, I couldn't get the gasket on my doghouse yesterday.

I did search. found four pages of non-related topics here.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to do this? Easiest way?

Bathtub full of HOT water? Put cover in Freezer? Hair dryer?

Extra hands?

Thanks in advance.

Use a hot air gun and carefully heat the seal as you put it on. I just did another turbo dog house seal on and it works great.

Thanks, both answers should help.

Worked today, work tomorrow (nine to nine), will bring in tomorrow night and bring to room temp, take a heat gun/hair dryer to it Saturday.
