I was installing a new fuel nozzle on my manifold heater and noticed that the old nozzle had some sort of little felt filters in each of the two ports, supply and return, and the new one did not.Wondering if its critical that they go in the new one or not.I have already put it all back together and tested to make sure it all works,I'm debating weather or not to take the fuel lines off and stuff those felt filters in.Thanks!!

I have seen them with and without the filter "pads", don't think it's critical, but the spray pattern is, so the more pure the fuel is, the better.
The fuel is supplied from the IP boost pump and is filtered by the vehicle primary fuel filter and the in-line filter only, so the filter pads compare to the final fuel filter in the engine filter system.

You decide.
