Thought I should post some photos of my M1009. The pictures are in the photo gallery. It's basically stock and I am basing it on a 1009 I had in ODS until it was replaced by a M998. I did take the liberty of adding an M1010 spotlight to the roof and infra red headlights on the brush guard .

Mechanically the vehicle is in great shape. Most of the suspension system and coolant system are new. The vehicle had three rust spots (left rocker panel, left front wheel housing, and right toe board). LMC parts and a welder in NJ (that jacked up the final bill) took care of that. The vehicle has already made a 6 hour drive and she got wound up to 80 mph just to see what she could do but kept it sustained at 60-65 for most of the trip.

Next stop is the body shop to get the major dents removed and a new Sand CARC paint job on the inside and out. The floor and up the sides will be done in Sand color LINE-X.

Planning to install a VIC 1 and VRC47 or 106 or 193 when I can find/afford it. Will install a stereo, under hood PA system, and possibly a ham radio system.

My fun and games has been with GL/DRMS. I bought the truck in March at Letterkenny and applied for the 97 in very late May after I got it running. I moved from NYC to the land of the Mountaineers in August. Took them until late August to send me the 97/title after I went to my congressman. The year of manufacture was wrong. GL refused to cut me a new one until they received the old one back. The day I got this info, I ended up in the hospital for a few days. I FEDEX'd it back to them a few days after I got out of the hospital. FEDEX delivered the envelope to the wrong address (according to GL) so they didn't get it until a week later and on a Friday afternoon. GL sits on it until Tuesday then informs me it will be two more weeks to process it. So now it will be just after Columbus Day that I get the title. By then I will start my new job and will not have the time to make it to DMV until some Saturday that I have time to sit in the very long lines.

Enjoy the pics in the photo gallery.
