I have been looking through all the threads and can not seem to find it. I remember reading about an after market starter for the mep 002 and 003 If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

i got this onfo from a post here a while ago i think this is what you are looking for unipoint [ str-6140] order from car quest . i got a used starter from gulf coast trucks in texas call office 1-281-422-3200 or cell 1-832-323-1445 ask for tom badgett tom tests his used stuff on a mep-003 gen set before shipping at least that is what he told me my starter works great i think i gave him 60.00 for it plus shipping not bad when the others wanted 250 to 300 for one hope this helps you
