MEP-004A Blowing Alternator Fuse

Hello to everyone. Been out of country a few months. Using our "shop generator" the last few days while working on another MEP-4, I noticed the alternator was not charging the batteries. Found a blown fuse on the alternator. Checked all connections & both batteries checked out fully charged. This unit's alternator has previously functioned properly. Installed another fuse & no surprise--it also blew. Seems to be a short somewhere.

Is there anything that could have resulted from the unit sitting up several months (under tent, not in the rain)? Anyone have any ideas or similar issues on their unit? Tonight I will be reading through the TM for the basic troubleshooting process.

Thanks,

Kevin
