A guy local to me has a bunch of MEP-362A ground power units for sale. Always wanted one if nothing else just for the engine (Tiernay turbine), any idea what the value is on one of these sets?

They are selling on the net for 14,000.00. That is one big chunk of change for "a neat engine"!!!

I loved working on Turbines. We had a 150 KW Turbine, (Could easy carry 300 KW) and I used to get to the shop early, (Like a good Boss should) and would start and stop the gen set until my folks got to work. I just loved to hear that beast spin UP!!!! and DOWN!!!! It has nothing to do with my two hearing aids. 
From 2020 but it appears they can be had for less than $14k.

2900.00 plus 13% buyers fee. 3277.00. Still a LOT of money for a 28 volt genset of that size. With an engine that drinks fuel at what I am sure is very high rate.
