Was the leak from the return line coming off the hose barb? I just had to fix mine. It didn't have a hose clamp on it which allowed it to pop right off. Has one now and no more leak.
No, it was the hose clamp that goes on the rubber neck that goes between the tank to the filler neck. It has never had a hose clamp on it ever. Would leak when I hit the brakes & fuel sloshed out due to no seal. It has been a long time, but I recall wondering why there wasn't anything sealing that better way back in this thread. It was before I was good at looking into & understanding the parts TM. I thought it just pressed on & it sealed like that.

Where you're talking about never has a clamp on it. Usually, the line fits tight & seals. If it isn't, your line is getting ready to start leaking all over, is the incorrect ID, or is stretched. A hose clamp will work to keep it on as well but the return lines don't require them. I always recommend a zip tie.

I dont know everyones history but blue locktite works just fine. Also you can take it apart if needed. Red locktite requires either 250 or 450 degrees to release. If you dont heat it you most likely twist off the screw. Just a thought not preaching. P.S. Never seze is the greatest for taking things back apart the next time.
