The generator is making power it reads 60 Hertz 220 volts but when I try to flip the momentary switch to close the circuit the light quickly flashes green and then goes out? Has anyone had this problem?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
I did try a few times and it did not work, I cant say it was a couple of dozen. Thanks I am going to see about the K1 contactor. Unit has been working fine.Try cycling that switch a few more times (like a dozen more times at least). Does the problem go away? It sounds like your K1 contactor is hanging up (not an uncommon thing).
802a no power at lugs
Noob here. Just bought a 802a from a private seller. Got it home, started testing and found that it runs great, looks well cared for. Convenience outlets are pushing 118v but could not get power at terminal lugs. Close circuit light does not illuminate. Did look at several threads to see if...steelsoldiers.com
No fault lights at all, I have not tried to hold the switch up and check lugs. The switch light immediately goes off so I am assuming power is interrupted. I have it hooked to my camp and it will not energize.Do you have power at the lugs if you hold the switch UP?
Do you have any fault lights illuminated?
If I hold switch in up position I do have power at lugs.. maybe switch it bad?Do you have power at the lugs if you hold the switch UP?

Generator was working, I use it frequently at my hunt camp. Yes there is a diode on the switch.OK, getting power to lugs indicates the contactor is not stuck and is closing.
The switch usually don't go bad. Likely something else.
Was this generator previously working OK and providing power to the lugs for you?
Does S5 have the Diode installed on it like this in this orientation?

Is there a way to jump the switch so I can have power and use generator?Might be a good idea to test the diode and make sure it still works.
Have you removed and tested the diode? I would do this well before jumping it.Is there a way to jump the switch so I can have power and use generator?
...Then try and close the K1 with the S5, (AC output circuit breaker switch). Will the K1 stay closed now?
