On my 2011 mep 803, i just want to verify a couple of things before i go on its maiden voyage powering my house on a test run....the transfer switch has nothing to do with the output, just tells you what it is doing, right? I am a little confused about what position to have it in for the proper reading. A few of them look the same. And yep, i have bus bar off, output on 120/240, lines on L1/L3/G/N. Had a 50a plug installed by electrician and made my cord out of 6/4 line. I plan on loading up little by little. I have to be careful because i have 3 window units powering outlying buildings too. Those will be last. I hope to power house lights, house a/c, and a couple of those outlying buildings. Sorry so long..

What transfer switch? The generator has an output contactor relay controlled by a front panel switch to turn the output on and off. Did the electrical install a manual transfer switch in your house?

When you fold the front panel there is a selector switch that allows for 120, 120/240 or 120/208 3 phase operations selection. So that would be 120/240 for your use. The front panel switch is just for metering selection.
