Hello all I have a mep-803a currently powering my whole house with LED lights is it normal for voltage spikes when heavy loads come on and off and if so what would be within spec?

not sure if the unit is in its way out or just needs a little love

I have a bunch of led lights in my house too. The ones on dimmers definitely go nuts when a dryer or well pump turns on. I found getting the load up to 50% or more load constant takes a good bit of the surge out. There is an adjustment for the governor too that's in the tm if you want to play with that. I think the volts shouldn't change the hertz do...from what I've learned set it to 61.5 then load it up.it should stay in the area. Do you have the fuse and varistor on the voltage regulator?

Do you have any actual data from looking at the machine, when this happens? If the hertz gauge moves, or the voltage gauge, or anything? Perhaps its worth the effort to have somene engage a high load, when you are standing at the machine, to see what (if anything) registers.
