I have a MEP 805B with a bad CIM in it and I need to change it out. Has anyone put a new or used one in ? I'm having a hard time finding one online.

I can't get the CIM to power up at all, It is getting power to it, But I can't get the unit to do anything. When i pulled it to bench test the unit I did find water in it, so i drained it and let it air dry for a couple of days. But I still can't get anything out of it.

The screen shows no color? Will not change color? And you did turn on the panel lights when you tried to power up?

MEP 805B display problem found.
I started to play with my 805b the other day, and notice some moisture in the display. Removed box from genny and took it to the shop to 'have a closer look' As I was carrying it to the shop, water was dripping out of the front glass, well thats not good. Get to the shop, take the back off...

I did try the panel light and all I get is a black screen. To me it looks like it's not booting up. I unhooked the 27 pin cable from the back of the CIM and still nothing. I'm thinking its a dead CIM. I found one on eday and i'll see if that one will works.

This is a new unit to me. I use a troubleshooting diagram and it told me the to replace the CIM. I don't know what the TM's is.

Here are the TM's you need to work on the MEP-805B generator set. Be advised, there are OTHER uploaded files that pertain to the MEP-805B in the TM forum. So LOOK for them.

Has anyone looked into the electronic governors they have for the 802/803? I'd be real curious to see how well they worked
