It never had time to trip overload, it never overheated. I believe the inrush on my compressor caused a voltage spike that blew the capacitor. I have blown caps in big UPS units at work when powering them up. My compressor just caused spike that was above this twin pair of whatever type filters that failed on L2 could handle. After compressor tried to load I dumped compressor off buss, (motor on gen was swinging wildly as speed control was lost) so closed in on 120vac 1500watt element. This stabilized the unit. I ran for 30secs went into cool down, when I noticed smell and post 11 starts.
