My percent load meter on my machine will show 100% when the generator is only producing about 24 amps. It is set on the 120v position. At that amperage should it not read about 50%? Thoughts?

That certainly doesn't sound right. Do you have the ability to load test it at multiple values to cross check against the meter? Have you cleaned the switch?

The meters on those are notorious for being inaccurate.

Try cleaning / exercising the AC selector switch. I also just had an 003A with a bad gage. It would peg itself up over 100% with only a 50% load, turned out to be a bad gage, but this gage would also bounce around wildly under little to no load, so that was a good indicator....
Last possibility like Guyfang said... I wonder if someone threw an AC reconnect box off an 003A on your machine? Not sure if that would give higher or lower readings, I believe the CVT windings are different (3 loops VS 4 loops if I recall? )
