Good afternoon have anyone ever seen where the MPU want read no matter what you do... I took the current mpu out I wasn't getting the 2-3 VAC while using the dead crank switch.. I've tried it on another generator to see if it will work and it does I saw 2.2VAC the resistance was within range when I benched tested it as well. Any insight?

In fact, 2.2 VAC is a bit low. Should be as close to 3 VAC as you can get. Where did you take your measurment? At the C-plug on the MPU? At the A5 terminals? If so, did you remove the wires first?

So, if you get 2.2 VAC on one generator, and nothing on another, you need:

1. To test it again. Install it IAW the -24 TM. Test it IAW the -24 TM. What happens?

2. Test the wire harness between A5 and the MPU.


I always checked the MPU ACV directly at the MPU.

Was the MPU ground off?
