Arrangements can be made to leave your MV 'up north' for the week.
Although a weeks vacation up north that starts and ends with MV shows................................

Also, the MIMVPA has a strategically picked/assigned Set-Up and Display Area that is virtually a 'Front Row Seat' to the Airshow; a few hundred feet from the main runway. We will also coordinate and time a HMV Convoy that will enter the Airport as part of the Opening Ceremony!

This event is going to be HUGE, with a lot of things going on almost all the time. For the 'Invasion', on Friday afternoon, it's going to be a B*^%^H coordinating the arrival of the first Parachutist and the first Convoy vehicle 'touching down' at the Airfield at the same moment, but we're going to be giving it our best shot!

The actual Air Show is Saturday & Sunday from Noon to 5pm
Gates open to public at 9am Sat & 7 am Sun. ( info taken from Air Show - Wings Over Gaylord )

Most will be set up by that time, drive into the entrance gate with your HMV, tell them you are with the MIMVPA Display, and carry on- we will be set up about 500' or a little more from the terminal next to some trees; VERY close to the runway. I'm not sure if they will be giving you your goodies at the gate or you will just get them after you set up at the display. I'll be getting there Thursday afternoon-have to meet one of our new mwmbers there-can't even remember his name. Gotta go, more later if needed.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Have just been advised of a change in time for the 'INVASION' Convoy!

A change in scheduling for the 19 member Parchute Drop Team amounts to them beginning their drop at 1:00/13:00 HRS. (rather than the original 2pm)

This means that we (MIMVPA) should be prepared to begin our convoy to our 'beginging/start point' sometime close to noon in my opinion.

Just want as many folks (Steel Soldiers Members/readers) to know about this as possible.

I had to bail early to get things done at home.
Had some fun, had some interesting vehicles roaming around and picking things up and checking them over.
