Has anyone ever used the left bracket on the right side as well?

Hummerpartsguy is selling the right bracket for $250 but the left side bracket is $52. I understand why it would be expensive, but is it possible to install the left side bracket on the left as well?

Any other places selling the right bracket for less than 250?

Yes, it will bolt on but will not work. Don't ask me how I know
