Michiganders have an out on this one. If we get a historical plate and the vehicle was not originally equipped with one then you do not need one. My 1984 Cucv will be eligible next year for the historic plate but it is a daily driver so I will have to rig up a light. I was going to put one on my M35 and I have told people in the past that they needed one but I reread the law for lights lately and found the exemption. Now I will not put a light on the plate since it is not needed legally. I almost never drive it at night anyway.emmado22 said:heck, every MV out there in GOVT service (past and present) doesnt meet ANY states laws for having a rear license plate light....... Do you really want GL starting to enforce the standards???? I dont...
Also, I agree with your comments.
